Operations Manager Opportunity – P&D Division

To better manage and improve the day to day operations of our practices within our P&D division we are seeking another full time Operations Manager. This individual will be an ambassador of the Slicker Trucking team and work hand in hand with Current Management and Drivers.

OPERATIONS MANAGER / BC OUTLINE

Qualifications

  • 1+ year with RushLogix
  • No accidents or incidents in the last 12 months
  • No chargeable claims in the last 12 months
  • Willingness to work 6 days when required (standard schedule: 5 days)
  • Computer savvy; must be able to navigate Lytx Safety Program & complete reports/tracking in Excel

Basic Tasks & Duties

  • Manage training program
  • Assist in creating & managing safety program for RushLogix
  • Provide materials for Safety Meetings & website updates
  • Assist with Safety Meetings (report findings & trends)
  • Assist with route/package delivery when needed

New Driver Training

  • Process new employees (already approved & hired)
  • Distribute and explain paperwork (especially safety disqualifications)
  • Handle badge process
  • Familiarize drivers with terminal, VRP, and cage locations/processes
  • Perform road tests
  • Train on scanner & delivery procedures
  • Train on driving procedures
  • Observe full route performance
  • Sign off on new driver process

Safety & Performance Investigation

  • Act as main contact regarding investigations (claims, disputes, misdeliveries, accidents, etc.)
  • Respond in RushLogix’s best interest (“innocent until proven guilty”)
  • Use Lytx tracking, video services, on-site visits, and discussions for investigations
  • Provide detailed reports to management
  • Submit additional details when disputing decisions
  • Serve as on-site first responder (when possible) for incidents

DriveCam Coaching

  • Learn and maximize Lytx DriveCam software
  • Monitor driver events, metrics, and performance
  • Coach drivers to improve driving habits
  • Provide reports to management
  • Document coaching outcomes for employee records
  • Implement driver recognition programs

Safety & Performance Follow-Up & Remediation

  • Identify and communicate safety/performance issues
  • Provide corrective actions and recommendations
  • Coordinate with management for further actions
  • Implement and monitor performance improvement plans

Remediation & Re-Training

  • Work with RushLogix management to create and improve re-training plans
  • Perform route audits
  • Conduct ride-alongs
  • Provide re-training sessions
  • Explore internal certification/completion programs

When Covering Route Driver Duties

  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (Non-CDL)
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with all laws
  • Load/unload packages manually
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Maintain package quality until delivery
  • Follow company delivery and recordkeeping procedures
  • Report issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Monitor package control (lost, stolen, or damaged items)
  • Follow safe work practices at all times
  • Adhere to company vehicle safety policies
  • Maintain excellent timeliness and attendance
